Description
English: The Rolls Royce Continentals were launched on the Phantom 11 40/50 short wheel based cars in nineteen thirty and were the ultimate sports versions of the marque produced. A one off was produced by Pininfarina in 1950 but the cost was prohibitively high due in part to the Lira fluctuating and Pininfarina signing a deal with Enzo Ferrari to design and produce bodies for the marque. It was decided to concentrate then sporting designs on the Bentley marque and the result was the Bentley R type continental which was offered at half the price of the Rolls Royce Continental and was a success with over 500 versions produced. The Rolls Royce coupe is unique and is wasnt until 2013 that Rolls Royce manufactured another, the Wraith is a wonderful car and the quickest Rolld Royce ever manufactured with traces of the Maestros nineteen fifties design still evident
