Packard was a luxury car built in America from 1899-1958. While most automakers were able to come out with new vehicles for 1948-49, Packard could not do this until 1951, at last completely redesigned. New styling features included a one-piece windshield, a wrap-around rear window, small tailfins on the long-wheelbase models, a full-width grill. The 122-inch wheelbase supported low end 200 series standard and Deluxe 2 and 4 doors, and 250 series Mayfair hardtop coupes and convertibles. Upmarket 300 and Patrician 400 models rode a 127-inch wheelbase.
