| Description |
The 1947 Ford was very similar to the 1946 car, visual differences included the removal of the red accents from the grille and the two small lights located just above it. Parking lights were now round and mounted under the headlights. Interiors had newly styled instrument panel with big new dials for easy reading. For 1948, there was nothing new at all, exactly the same car as 1947. The 6 cyl was the Model 7GA and the V8, the Model 79A. Two models were available, the base Deluxe and the upmarket Super Deluxe. The Deluxe had the drab brown interior and was available in Tudor, Sedan and Coupe. The Special Deluxe, had an upmarket navy blue and grey interior better appointed with a clock and courtesy lights, there was also more chrome trim on the outside Available in Tudor, Sedan, Coupe, Woody Wagon, Convertible and Woody Sportsman Convertible. The 1941-48 Ford was also produced in Australia in V8 Sedan and unique to Australia, the Coupe Utility. Engines; 90hp 226 cu in l head 6 cyl or 100hp 239 Flathead V8 |
