Description

Studebaker built wagons in the 1800s, electric automobiles starting in 1902 and gasoline vehicles from 1904 to 1966. Studebaker got a new look for 1939, a pointed nose and a split grille on the Commander and the President, the Champion had a centre grille with two smaller grilles each side. By 1941, these split grilles were more rectangular in shape. For 1941, the short wheelbase Studebaker was the 110 inch Champion; 78hp 164 cu in 6 cyl. The Champion was available in three models; the base Custom, the Custom Deluxe and the Deluxe Tone, all in 2 door Club Sedan, Coupe (2 seat), Double Dater Coupe (4 seat), Opera Coupe (opera seat) or 4 door Cruiser Sedan Mid size was the 116 inch wheelbase Commander; 90hp 226 cu in 6 cyl. The Commander available in Custom, Deluxe Tone (2 tone) and luxurious Skyway, all in 2 door Coupe, 4 door Cruiser Sedan and Land Cruiser

And the long wheelbase was the 122 inch President; 110hp 250 cu in 8 cyl, also available in Custom, Deluxe Tone and luxurious Skyway spec and in 2 door Coupe, 4 door Cruiser Sedan and Land Cruiser
