Description

1941 American Bantam Jeep Prototype photographed by DougW of RemarkableCars.com at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI.
The 1941 Bantam BRC's were pre-standardized production cars, that were sent to overseas allies, already engaged in World War II – except for a few, including this four-wheel steering test unit, built or at least assembled by Checker Motors.

See the 2016 article by Internet Checker Taxicab Archive, as well as this 2016 archived page by (Bantam) jeep author / historian William Spear.
