Giuseppe Farina in the Alfa Romeo "Torpedina Brescia" in 1940

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Giuseppe Farina in what looks like one of the three Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS "Torpedina Brescia" in 1940, when he competed with this kind of car in the Mille Miglia on 28 April 1940. However, this car does not have louvres on the bonnet, it has the Touring Superleggera script on bonnet, and has a different (flatter, not split rounded) windshield.
Perhaps this is around the time of that event, such as 5 May 1940. The body is a "Superleggera" (superlight) made by Carrozzeria Touring and is very similar to the Auto Avio 815, two of which also competed in this Mille Miglia.
According to Alfa Romeo historians, chassis number would be one of these: 915091 / 92 / 93.[1]
