Summary
[edit]Description1938 SS Jaguar 100 (39067), driver's side interior.jpg |
English: Dashboard of a 1938 SS Jaguar 100 3.5-Litre, one of 118 built from 1938 until 1940. This one had a Roots supercharger fitted by then-owner Dave Garroway in the early 1950s. He also bored the engine out and it blew up while being hooned at the Studebaker proving grounds. Jaguar provided an XK120M replacement engine which still resides in the car - so not original, but fairly correct nonetheless. Cream with spectacular Brown alligator leather interior. Recently sold (Summer 2018) to its third owner since 1948, who also received a period 3.5-litre engine in case they prefer originalesquity. |
