An overhead view shows the primary buildings, tree cover, roads, and parking lots of the landscape.

Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Memorial Landscape, Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Site. The War Department improved on the original design of the landscape to improve visitor access. The parking ellipse (1929) was one of these changes, opening the commemorative landscape to the newly popular motor vehicle traffic.
