Description

The Rolls Royce Twenty (20hp) was Rolls Royce's small car, it was produced from 1922-29, sold along side the larger and more powerful 40/50 Silver Ghost. This car, the 20/25 was its successor, sold along side the larger and more powerful 'Phantom'. Only the chassis and mechanicals were made by Rolls Royce, the body was made and fitted by selected coach builders. The famous Rolls Royce radiator with triangular top was used with vertical louvres, which were adjustable to control engine cooling, early cars manually adjusted, later cars controlled by a thermostat. Replaced in in 1936 by the more powerful Rolls Royce 25/30.
