Description

Diamond T was founded in 1905 by C.A.Tilt who originally made shoes, his brand was the letter 'T' surrounded by a diamond. Tilts son starting building cars in 1905 and trucks in 1911. They were called the Cadillac of trucks, noted for quality construction, great performance and overall good looks. Diamond T trucks were frequently purchased as fleet vehicles for image conscious companies such as furniture movers and breweries. For 1933 a new all steel covered cab with doors and roll-up windows was introduced. The new streamlined look with V-style windshield was introduced in 1935. 1935 saw the introduction of the super service six cylinder engine with an electric furnace alloy block, counter balanced crankshaft, precision bearings and Tocco hardened crankshaft.
