[edit]
Description

The Hupmobile was built in Michigan in the United States, founded by Robert Hupp in 1909 and closed down in 1940 The Hupmobile was only a 4 cyl car until 1925, when the strategy changed and they started producing larger, more expensive cars with 6 and 8 cyl, the timing not good though, as the depression hit. Continuing on, in 1938, they bought the dies for the Cord 810/812 and produced a car with similar looks called the Skylark, sharing the venture with Graham-Paige who built a similar car. In 1932 Hupmobile began model year and wheelbase in its series code, (K-engine, 4-1934, 21- 121 in wheelbase) and available in base or upmarket Custom. 1933 saw the introduction of a more swept back look Available in 1934 in 2 door Coupe, Cabriolet, Convertible and Roadster, 4 door Sedan, Phaeton and the Custom Town Sedan
