| Description |
The 508 Balilla was a small car built by Fiat in Italy from 1932-37, it replaced the 509 It was available in; The 4 door, 4 seat Torpedo, available only in Lusso (deluxe) trim. The 2 door, 4 seat Berlina, available in Standard or Deluxe. The 2 door, 2 seat Coupe, with more aerodynamic body. The Spider was a 2 door, 2 seat cabriolet, also available in Standard or Deluxe, the fabric hood could be removed and the windscreen could be folded down. This car, the Spider Sport was similar, but lower and sleeker with a tail like an insect. A van and a small flat bed truck were also built. The first was the 508A, in 1934, the sedan got a more aerodynamic looking body, this version was identified as the Fiat 508B. In 1937, the 508C got a modified front grille that lent back and the windscreen, previously vertical, was also raked. |
