Summary
[edit]Description1934-09-09 Monza Maserati 6C 34 Nuvolari.jpg |
English: Entry #8 in the XII Gran Premio d'Italia (Italian GP) at Monza on September 9, 1934, was a Maserati 6C 34. This was this car's racing debug, so it may have been an early chassis number (3023 or 3024 perhaps)[1]. This 6C 34 was developed under Ernesto Maseratis direction to meet new racing class regulations (max 750 kg) and had a smaller and lighter 6-cylinder engine than 8CM.[2] It was driven by Tazio Nuvolari (at the wheel) and ended in 5th place even if the brakes failed (he used the gear to brake). Maserati mechanic Luigi Parenti is also seen (left) |
