Summary

[edit]
Description The early Morgan cars, built between 1911 and 1939, were 3 wheelers, and are therefore considered to be cyclecars. They avoided the British tax on cars by being classified as motorcycles These models used air-cooled or liquid-cooled variations of motorcycle engines. The engine was placed ahead of the axis of the front wheels in a chassis made of steel tubes brazed into cast lugs. Later Tricars, from 1932 on, did also have Ford side valve engines, these were called the F Series.
