Summary

[edit]
Description

Like the 1932 Ford, the 1933 car was still available as the 201 cu in 4 cylinder Model B (sometimes referred to as the Model C in 1933) and also the 221 cu in Flathead V8 was now the Model 40. The Model B was built from 1932 to 34, the V8 tho was the Model 18 in 1932, Model 40 in 1933 and 40A in 1934. Built on the same platform, the two models shared body, chassis and trim. In 1933 the car got a longer wheelbase and new crossmember frame. The grille was revised, gaining a pointed forward slope at the bottom which resembled a shovel. The hood louvers curved forward. Again available in Standard or Deluxe and in a wide variety of body styles. The first hot rods were old cars (most often Fords, typically Model Ts, Model As or Model Bs), modified to reduce weight. Typical modifications were removal of convertible tops, hoods, bumpers, windshields, and fenders; chopping and channeling the body; and modifying the engine by tuning and/or replacing with a more powerful type.

This car is stripped of its running boards and fenders and has a roof chop
