[edit]Description1932 Duesenberg Model J Roadster (15964493998).jpg |
E.L.Cord, who also owned Auburn bought Duesenberg in 1926. The Model J Duesenberg was a luxury car built from 1928-37. More famous people bought the Model J than that of any other American car. They had a 420 cu in straight 8 engine. The Model SJ was the supercharged version. The Model JN had a different body, set on the chassis rails for a lower look. It also had skirted fenders and bullet-shaped taillights. The Duesenberg chassis was also a favorite of coachbuilders for creating custom one off kind of cars like this one. The body on this car was built by Walter M Murphy Company, a one off car Engine; 265hp straight 8. Photographed at the Gilmore Museum, Michigan |
