English: The Permanent Mission of Bolivia to the Organization of American States, located at 1929 19th Street, N.W., in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
Built by John Nolan in 1908 for real estate developer Charles H. Davidson, the Classical Revival-style row house was designed by the architectural firm of Wood, Donn & Deming. The building is designated as a contributing property to the Washington Heights Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. Occupants of 1929 19th Street, N.W., have included the following: Henry Davidson Fry, a physician and author; Leon S. Ulman, Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel; Joseph Sanborn Allen, cataloger for the Library of Congress; Frances Schulter, an anthropologist; John J. Schulter, the founder and former publisher of the The InTowner; offices for the The InTowner; Katherine E. Tallmadge, an author, columnist, and dietitian; and Pierce Quinlan, former managing director of the Interstate Commerce Commission and former executive vice president of the National Alliance of Business. |
