Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The famous "191" steam locomotive (nickanamed La Emperatriz in Argentina) at Pérez station (near Rosario, Santa Fe Province).

The machine became a legend after being driven by Francisco Savio for 18 years. It had been manufactured by the North British Locomotive Company (Scotland) and was in service in the Argentine Ferrocarril Gral. B. Mitre from 1915 to 1964.

The 191 was later restored by a group of enthusiasts of Club Ferroviario Central Argentina of Rosario, Santa Fe Province.
