Description
English: Sergeant Jacob Christain Stockburger, of the machine gun company, Sixth Infantry, was killed in France on August 7th, 1918. He was a member of St Andrews Reformed Church in Allentown. He was 37 years old at the time of his death. His parents, Mr and Mrs Jacob Stockburger of 723 New Street were informed that their son was murdered by one of his own men. The circumstances of his death were not disclosed, nor the motive for the murder and the punishment meted out to his slayer.
