Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The first Allentown Automobile Show was held in 1917, with 80 cars on display. It was held at the Lawfer Ford Company, 1214 Hamilton Street. Allentown was paving the main streets at the time to encourage people to buy cars. The Texaco gas station shown in the photo at the corner of 12th and Hamilton next to the dealership has been rebuilt several times, however it remains today as a Sunoco gas/convenience store.
