Description

1914 Daimler Twenty drophead coupé first registered in June 1914. This car has cantilever rear springs, a transaxle and electric starter

The dark blue body with blue upholstery (white chassis and wheels) was by Jackson's Garage (also traded as Tasmanian Motor Co)
The car was displayed at the Launceston Show in November 1914

The property of Mr Fred Gunn it has been photographed being driven on Saturday 27 February 1915 in the Tasmanian Automobile Club's Hill Climb for Young Ladies by his cousin Winnie Gunn aged 28
The electrically timed event was at Station Hill on the East Tamar Road near Launceston. There were two gold medals to be won, for outright fastest time and for best time by formula.
