| Description |
English: This photograph from 1914 shows the annex to the Old Lehigh County Courthouse Annex under construction at the northwest corner of Fifth and Hamilton Streets.
The building opened in 1916, and the county liked it so much it was decided in 1916 to raise the old courthouse that was built in 1812 and replace it with a similar structure. However before work started, the United States entered World War I and plans were put on hold. It was not until 1962 that an entirely new courthouse was built on the northeast corner of Fifth and Hamilton across the street. |
