Description

Agriculture map for India during 1910s, during colonial British empire period.

Large tracts of north and central India had the permit to grow only targeted cash crops that were processed and then exported. The map shows areas where opium, indigo, jute, sugar cane and other cash crops were grown for export to China and other trading posts of the British empire.
