Description
English: 1911 Baldwin 2-8-0 Steam at Texas Transportation museum plaque. Plaque says :
This locomotive, builder's plate 25816, was built for the Moscow, Camden & San Augustine Railroad, which operates to this day in East Texas. "6" it its MC &SA RR number. It was converted to burn oil in 1929. Its "dry" weight is 110,000 lbs. It has 44 inch driving wheels and 24 inch from guiding wheels. Its boiler is 54 inches inches in diameter. It has 116 tubes 12 feet long and 2 inches in diameter. It was capable of 20,000 pounds of tractive effort. The tender holds 3,000 gallons of water and 1,200 gallons of fuel. It was retired from service in 1956. It was acquired by TTM in 1970 but did not arrive here until 1984.
