Description

Renault was founded in 1899 by Louis Renault. The first car was the Renault Voiturette 1CV, engines were purchased by De Dion-Bouton. In 1903, Renault started manufacturing their own engines. The Renault AX was produced from 1908-14, a smaller, less expensive car than other Renaults available at the time, France's version of the Ford Model T. Mainly built as 2 seaters, 4 seat versions were popular as Taxis
