Summary
[edit]Description1909 Ford Model T Touring serial 839 - Henry Ford Museum - placard closeup (33043288261).jpg | Closeup of the placard for 1909 Ford Model T Touring serial number 839 in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. This is one of a very small number of surviving Model Ts to have the original two-pedal, two-lever transmission, along with the early water-pump-equipped engine. Ford switched to the Model T's standard three-pedal, one-lever transmission after the first 800 cars or so; this is the last one known to have the two-pedal form. This car also lacks the Touring model's optional windshield. |
