Clement Talbot was founded in 1902 in the UK, production was in the UK, but partly controlled by French interests, also engines were imported from France. A great range of cars were built from 1904-1916, from 7hp - 60hp. London's Darracq and Company purchased Clement-Talbot in 1919 and also the Sunbeam Motor Company in 1920. Cars were called Talbot-Darraacq and then just Talbots. In 1938, the company became Sunbeam-Talbot. This car started out as a taxi in Wanganui in New Zealand before being converted into a truck by a bridge builder.
