Summary

[edit]
Description
Deutsch: V-12 engine of the Schebler one-off car which was built in the Wheeler & Schebler Carburetor Co. shops in Indianapolis during winter 1908/09.By switching off one cylinder bank, the car was drivable with 6 cylinders. Each bank featured its own Schebler carburetor. Designed by Philip Schmoll of the company's engineering staff, it seems that this was the only V-12 built. The first production V-12 automobile was introduced in 1915 by Packard. This Picture illustrated an article about the car in the Motor Age magazine, March 25, 1915.
