Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hamilton Street Looking East from Center Square about 1905. The Zions's Church steeple is prominent on the south side of Hamilton. Most of the familiar buildings today along Hamilton Street are absent. Although Henry Leh's store just to the west of Zion's Church is there, the modern department store would not be erected until 1910. Most of the other buildings are three or four story structures that would be gone by 1970. The overhangss in front of the buildings and the power poles would be removed in 1915/1965, and the unpaved Hamilton Street Lehigh Traction Company streetcars are still drawn by horses.
