Description	English: Postcard photo looking west on Hamilton Street about 1905. Taken on the south side of the 500 block, note the many trees lining both sides of the street. The large seven-story building on the left is the Commonwealth Building, erected in 1893. In the background you can see the Allen Hotel on the north east corner of Center Square, and the monument in the middle of the square, which was erected in 1900. Hamilton street unpaved, and the horses and carriages are on both sides of the street. No automobiles can be seen.
