Derleth, Ludwig: Die Proklamationen von Ludwig Derleth. Exemplar 130 / 500. Leipzig: Insel-Verlag 1904, 83 Seiten. Die Lesung dieses Druckes 1904 in München beschreibt Thomas Mann in seiner Erzählung «Beim Propheten» [1]. Zu Ludwig Derleth → [2] In «Doktor Faustus» [3], im mittleren Teil des dreiteiligen Kapitel 34, kommentiert der fiktive Erzähler Derleths auf Bütten erschienene «Proklamationen» als einen lyrisch-rhetorischen Ausbruch schwelgerischen Terrorismus[’], dem man erhebliche Wortgewalt zugestehen mußte. [...] Dies alles war «schön» und empfand sich selber sehr stark als «schön»; es war «schön» auf eine grausam und absolut schönheitliche Weise, […] der steilste ästhetische Unfug, der mir vorgekommen [ist].“ |
