Text Appearing After Image:
PLANT'S EXTRA EARLY—This is the most profitable Pea for market gardeners and truckers to grow; it is entirely distinct and superior to any other Extra Early Pea. It is the earliest, maturing from forty to forty-five days from germina- tion ; it is the most productive, the pods are of a dark green color, of a full round shape and of strong texture, which especially fits it for shipping long distances. On average soil it will not exceed twenty inches in height. The pods fill up evenly, and frequently the entii-e crop can be gathered at one picking, which is very valuable to the market gardener. While hundreds of market gardeners have pronounced thia Pea unequaled in earlinegs, yield and regularity of growth, and in every sense a perfect trucker's pea, yet at the same time we know of no other variety more popular or better adapted to private gardens. Quart, 35c.; peck, SI.35; bushel, 4.50. ALASKA—The earliest blue pea, very uniform in growth. The dark green color of the pods makes it extremely de- sirable, as it can be carried long distances without losing color, which quality, combined with its earliness, and uni- formity of ripening, makes it a most desirable extra early pea for market gardeners and shippers; height, two feet. Quart, 3-5c.; peck, Sil.15; bushel, 4.50. MAUD'S EXTRA EARLY—Has gained a reputation for its extreme earliuess. productiveness and fine flavor. A vigorous grower, vines about 23^ feet high, loaded with fine large and well-filled pods. Quart, 30c.; peck, Sl.lS; bushel. 4.00. P. S. CO.'S FIRST AND BEST—A well-known and valu- able sort; very early and productive, good flavor, two feet high. Quart, 30c.; peck, 81.15; bushel, 4.00, QRADUS. New Extra Ear y Wrinkled Pea. The most desirable sort for the home garden, large podded and of splendid quality. The vine of this most distinct sort is like that of Plant's Extra Early, except that it grows a little taller and produces peas fit for use a few days later. The immense pods are as large as those of the Telephone, uniformly well shaped and handsome, and more attractive than those of other first earlies. They ripen slowly and continue fit for use much longer than most varieties, Tuaking this by far the most desirable sort for the home garden. The peas are very large, of splendid quality and beautiful color which they retain after cooking. It is also sold under the name "Pros- perity"—Peas offered are grown from originator stock. Quart 60c.; Peck, «3.00. PHILADELPHIA EXTRA EARLY, IMPROVED DAN. O ROURKE, RURAL NEW YORKER. EARLY FRAME OR MAY, E4SI-Y -JUNE, EARLY ICBNT are nearly identical, they are all strains^ of first eai^y white peas, similar to P. S. GO'S FIRST AND BEST. ' We offer carefully and selected stock. Quart. 30c.; peck. »1.00; bushel. 3 50.
