The Wesley Window

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Wesley Window tells the story of John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Movement. Wesley is pictured at age 40. Persons who were influential in Wesley's life and in Methodism are also seen - his mother Susanna, and his brother, Charles, the great hymn writer, and the early founders of Methodism in America - Bishops Asbury and Coke, Otterbein and Albright, Allen and Varick. Memorial incidents like John's result from the rectory fire at Epworth, the missionary journey to America, and early preaching by Methodist circuit riders are part of the 27 elements that flow together forming the design.
