Commemorative Momument to the Victories at Quatre-Bras and Waterloo, in June 1815

Description
English:
De Naald van Waterloo, commemorating the latest Victories by the Allies over the French dictator Napoleone Buonaparte (1765-1821) – at Quatre-Bras (1815, June 16th) and Waterloo (1815, June 18th) – thus putting an end to two decades of repeated wars and their endless tallies of deaths, systematic looting and ruins all over Europe.  

Monument designed by Abraham van der Hart (1777 – 1820), architect ; erected in 1820.

Four medallions dedicate the memorial to William Frederik, Prince of Orange [later King Willem II of the Netherlands] ː
