Description
Deutsch: Blick vom Schuhmarkt an der Goseriede in Hannover im Jahr 1888 in Richtung Klagesmarkt: Links ist der in neuromanischen Formen um 1868 nach Plänen des hannoverschen Stadtbaumeisters Ludwig Droste errichtete Backsteinbau der Georgstädter Bürgerschule zu sehen, am Bildrand rechts die Nikolaikapelle am Alten St.-Nikolai-Friedhof. Das kleinere Fachwerkhaus hinter der Schule ist die Hofmeisterei, ein schon damals altes Ausspannlokal, das mutmaßlich von einem Fahnenschmied, einem Beschlagschmied für fahrende oder reitende Truppen geführt wurde ...
