Español: No terminaremos esta Revista sin tributar un recuerdo al sabio catedratico y literato ilustre, D. Jose Amador de los Rios, recientemiente arrebatado por la muerte a las letras patrias. Escritor fecundo e infatigable, erudito distinguido dotado de vastismos conocimientos, a Amador se debe la renovacion de nuestros estudios critico literarios y artisticos, y su notables obras son insignes monumentos de nuestra cultura. La ciencia y la literatura españolas le deben inapreciables servicios, y la patria pecaria de ingrata si no consagrarà respetuoso homenaje de admiracion a su memoria. M. de la Revilla |
