English: 71 Lithic implements
1) 1 Microlith length 19mm, width 7mm, thickness 2mm. Two arise on the dorsal, creamy patina, date Late Mesolithic. 2) 6 blades average size length 22mm, width 15mm, thickness 4mm. Most have two arises on the dorsal, 50% are truncated, all have a creamy patina and date to the Late Mesolithic-Early Neolithic. 3) 2 Core rejuvenation flake length 41mm, width 23mm, thickness 8mm. Long thin flaking scars on one side, the top and bottom section is truncated, creamy patina both date to the Late Mesolithic. 4) Knife length 43mm, width 17mm, thickness 7mm. crest running down the centre of the dorsal with multiple flaking scars on either side, creamy patina with a grey patch on the butt, date Neolithic. 5) Triangular arrowhead length 24mm, width 18mm, thickness 5mm. multiple flaking scars on the dorsal, creamy patina, date Neolithic. 6) 2 Scrapers average size length 23mm, width 20mm, thickness 8mm. All have direct semi-abrupt flaking scars. a] Double sides scraper, Neolithic. b] Semi-circular scraper, Late Neolithic-Early Bronze Age 7) Awl length 31mm, width 19mm, thickness 3mm. this is an old waste flake that has been reused. A point has been knapped on the tip by direct abrupt flaking fake removal on the left side. Creamy patina this has been removed by the retouch exposing brown flint, date Bronze Age. 8) 57 fragments of debitage. (not photographed) 19 Secondary waste flakes average size length 32mm width 14mm, thickness 7mm. All have less then 50% cortex remaining. Date Prehistoric. These are waste flakes from the manufacturing process. 38 Tertiary waste flake, average size length 28mm, width 19mm, thickness 6mm. prehistoric. This is a waste flake from the manufacturing process, prehistoric date. |
