Description
English: In 1918, the family of Clifford Knowlton Brown lived at 1818 Coventry Road near Tremont Boulevard. Mr. Brown was the executive secretary of the central branch of the Columbus Y.M.C.A. In addition, Mr. Brown taught at the Community Church. He had previously been the general secretary of the Y.M.C.A. in Columbia, N.Y. It was there that he met his future wife, Marion McAllister of Watertown, N.Y. His wife often sang at Norwester Club meetings in Upper Arlington. The couple, along with their son, Knowlton, moved from their home at 1818 Coventry Road to Boston, Massachusetts in 1920.
