English: This house at 1810 Coventry Road was built in 1917 and was home to John Louis Thomson, his wife, the former Mabel Jackson, and daughter, Evelyn. After much success systematizing factory work in several Columbus manufacturing plants, J. L. Thomson joined the automobile distributing firm Carroll & Thompson in 1918. He was a member of the Upper Arlington Fishing Club and also enjoyed tennis, bowling, and swimming. J. L. and Mabel's daughter, Evelyn, died tragically at the age of fifteen.
