Description Secretary of the Army Dr. Mark T. Esper and his wife Leah meet with Team U.S. competitors, families, and staff before the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Opening Ceremony in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; Oct. 20, 2018. The Invictus Games are an international adaptive sporting event with current and former wounded, ill, or injured service members from 18 nations competing in 12 adaptive sports including; archery, athletics, indoor rowing, powerlifting, road cycling, driving challenge, sailing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair tennis.
