Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Looking south from the northern pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Boston Road and East 180th Street at the site of the former 180th Street–Bronx Park elevated railway station on the Bronx Park Spur of the IRT White Plains Road Line in the West Farms section of The Bronx, New York City. One block behind this view is an entrance to the Bronx Zoo, which forced the closure of the el station in 1952. Boston Road is historically part of the original Boston Post Road, although the segment that's part of U.S. Route 1 is northeast of Fordham Road as well as the Bronx Zoo.
