| Description | S.C. Army National Guard Soldiers of 2-151st Aviation Regiment (SSAB) and 2-238th Aviation Regiment (GSAB), 59th Aviation Troop Command (59th ATC) prepare to support emergency-response operations as Hurricane Florence approaches the coast of North and South Carolina, Army Aviation Support Facility Loc. 2 (AASF2), Greenville, S.C., Sep. 10, 2018. The aviation component of the S.C. Army National Guard (SCARNG) is prepared to deploy LUH-72A Lakota, UH-60L Black Hawk, and CH-47F Chinook helicopters--both organic to the SCARNG and from other states’ units--should Hurricane Florence’s landfall have destructive effects on local population and proprieties, in the Carolinas and bordering states.
