Description 180625-N-JO245-428 THEOULE-SUR-MER, France (June 25, 2018) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Ian Edinger shoots a .50 caliber machine gun as Electronics Technician 3rd Class Christopher Allen observes during a live-fire exercise aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98). Forrest Sherman is underway for a scheduled deployment as part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group. With Harry S. Truman as the flagship, deploying strike group assets include staffs, ships and aircraft of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 8, Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 28 and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1; as well as the Sachen-class German navy frigate FGS Hessen (F 221).
