Title
17th century traders token
Description
English: Cast Cu alloy trader token from 1667.

This token is complete and in fairly good condition as the detail can be seen well.

Obverse inscription- ROBERT GIBSON Obverse description- Coat of arms containing 6 possible animal heads above an upwards facing chevron with 3 of the same below.

The obverse inscription refers to the trader whose token this was and the coat of arms would be his also.

Reverse inscription- 1667 OF RIL Reverse description- In the centre are the words 'HIS HALF PENNY above 4 pellets in a flower shape.

The reverse description qualifies the value of the coin. RIL could be refering to the location, perhaps standing for Ireland.
