17th century silver thimble
Description
English: Post-medieval fragmentary thimble, dome missing, broad band left plain at lip, waffle-shaped indentations with two hearts left in reserve. Cracked on one side. A well-known late 17th Century type. As such, due to its age and precious metal content, this object qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
