Title
17th century seal ring
Description
English: A copper-alloy finger ring of probable 17th century AD date. The ring has a sub-oval bezel which contains an indented design and would have acted as a seal. The print of this seal shows the initial letter "R" with a three leaf pattern emanating from the top. The hoop of the ring is slightly bent. The bezel measures 16mm long by 8.4mm high and tapers smoothly into the slightly bent hoop. This hoop is 23.6mm wide by 25.7mm deep. The ring weighs 5.12g. It is slightly corroded.
