17th century dress pin fragment
Description
English: Fragment of 17th century silver dress pin of bodkin type, with rectangular opening and part of tapering shaft, broken off. Incised front and back with floral and zigzag ornament. A common type frequently reported through the Treasure Act. As such, due to its age and precious metal content, this object qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
