English: Cast copper alloy dolphin brooch length 21mm, width 9mm, thickness 1mm, weight 2.03g. Semicircular, concave cross-section wings which would have protected the spring mechanism. There is a backwards facing hook on the top of the head which would have held the spring in place, a small crest runs down from the front hook to the bottom of the head, the rest of the leg is plain. The catch plate on the reverse is badly damaged resulting in only that lower section remaining. This artefact has suffered from corrosion resulting in a pitted surface, all break are old.
