Double looped copper alloy buckle. The frame starts to expand from the strap bar so that it has a wide outer edge (3mm wide by the strap bar, 6mm wide in the centre on the outer edge, 2mm thick). The frame is concaved so that the outside edge of the frame is angled at a 45º angle.
Decoration comprises of two recessed lines running around the outside of both of the frames. Narrowed strap bar in the centre with flanking external knops either side. Copper alloy pin still attached to the strap bar comprising of a thin sheet (20mm long, 4mm wide, 1mm thick) that is concaved (for strength) that has been folded around the strap bar.

The artefact is very heavily corroded with most of the surface either pitted or encrusted, therefore none of the original surface remains.
