PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain (Sept. 10, 2017) Chief Mass Communications Specialist Anastasia McCarroll and Personnel Specialist 3rd Class Emilee Denne, attached to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), visit Bellver Castle during a Morale, Welfare and Recreation tour Sept. 10, 2017. The castle was built in the 14th century and is one of the few circular castles in Europe. Bataan is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
